Ken grabbed his first USAC National victory at Illliana Speedway in the roadster followed by a couple of victories at the high banks of Winchester and a big win in the Night Before the 500! He also found success in the upright car with some big victories at Phoenix, as well as getting the win at the first-ever midget portion of Four Crown Nationals held at the famed Eldora Speedway.
